The women will continue speaking to you online and then meet you in person. It is common sense.

As with any internet site, you actually do not. Until you've spoken with her via Skype or Facetime and heard enough details that can be verified as being a real person without a criminal record (these records can be obtained for a few dollars online), then you can be a bit more trusting.
