I did meet a brazilan women who was on the site and was genuine. Unrelated to the site, the main reason things did not work out were more due to how she behaved in person.
I have also talked with some women from Colombia and Ecuador who were genuine.

There are more women on this site than most of the other latin country cupid sites. I briefly was on the site for Mexico and Brazil, the number of active women users on those sites was always lower than this site.
I have not tried the other latin sites yet, such latamdate or latinfeels.
