Ideally the Atmos Jewel vaporizer can be used for dry herbs as it allows of it, but it was not designed specifically for it. The Jewel vape has a powerful ceramic heating chamber, but it has a direct heat coil that would make this vaporizer a Conduction heat method, which brings it close to combustion. Ideally you would want to go for a Convection heating method, as it works as an oven, and the indirect heat heats-up/vaporizes the herbs to extract the materials as wanted. If you want a great true vaporizer pen, go for the Atmos RX Boss, but it is only for dry herbs.
