On December 16,2019, I ordered a 6-month beer club subscription from AmazingClubs for my wife for Christmas. I was apprehensive about receiving unknown beers, but reassured by the AmazingClubs' "They'll Love It!" guarantee:
We're so confident in the quality of our #1 rated gift of the months clubs, we back every order with our unbeatable guarantee. It's simple. When you send a gift from Amazing Clubs, your recipient is going to love their gift. We guarantee it!
Foolish me, I though that these words meant what they said!
My wife opened the gift certificate on Christmas and said she did not want it. I immediately e-mailed AmazingClubs support on December 25th: "Well, my wife opened the gift certificate today (Christmas) and said she absolutely does not want it! Please cancel my order."
AmazingClubs support responded the next day that it was too late to cancel the first shipment because, "The shipment for this month has already begun processing." Not that it had been processed, or shipped, but had "begun processing."
The shipment arrived several days later. Three of the four beers were excellent; the fourth was terrible. I e-mailed AmazingClubs support on January 12, expecting a replacement or partial refund, since my wife did not "love it!":
The first shipment arrived and three of the four beers were excellent. The fourth, Sprecher's Scotch Ale, was extremely disappointing.
I thought I might be overly critical, so I googled Sprecher's scotch ale and found that others don't think much of Sprecher's Scotch ales:

That same day, I received a computer-generated response:
We always appreciate our customer's feedback whether positive or negative and will certainly take your comments into consideration when making future selections for our beer club. Your concerns have been forwarded to our Product Development Team.
Expecting some response from the Product Development Team, I waited a month, during which I heard nothing from AmazingClubs other than daily (sometimes twice daily) "special offers." Finally, on February 16, I e-mailed AmazingClubs support:
What happened to
"They'll Love It!" Guarantee
The next day, I received this surprising response:
Per our terms and conditions, which can be found on our website, the guarantee that we offer is as follows:
"The Company guarantees your purchase will arrive undamaged. We cannot guarantee or warrant against individual taste preferences."
I learned from my mistake and I hope you will too:
1. AmazingClubs uses an aggressive "begun processing" date to limit your refund if you want to cancel your subscription.
2. Their "They'll Love It!" guarantee does not actually guarantee that your recipient will love it. AmazingClubs can ship crap and bill you for it as long as the crap arrives undamaged.
