SCAM SCAM SCAM! AVOID

From the number of positive reviews they have, I have to conclude they are buying/making fake posts because this is 100% a scam company.

I sent 2 items to MyGermany and they delivered the very next day, great. I logged in their website and both items couldn't be shipped - there was a notification about something to do with their compliance team.
I sent them an email, no response until the next day when I got the below email.

"Dear Romy ******,

Thanks for your order and trust.

We have got your items today from Different IPs. This is a standard process-check form our Compliance Department! We are forced to take the following standard measures to prevent fraudulent orders. For security reason we would like to ask you to send relevant documents in order to proof the your identity and legality of your order:

Copy of invoice (PDF) with proof that invoice is paid
A copy of your ID
Proof of your identity: e.g. credit card statement or phone invoice
Copy of credit card / paypal account which was used
Credit card: statement of credit card company showing the purchase transaction
Ebay: screenshots proofing you as the buyer and payer!
We kindly ask for your cooperation to be able to guarantee more safety for buyer and seller. Please upload the documents with our secure partner DropBox and let us know via eMail once done. Please name the files with your name:

I was baffled. What the hell do they mean by "different IPs"? How can orders come from IPs? What does that have to do with my order? That was my question in my next email. & despite how ridiculous their request was, I sent them ALL (but the screenshots with the buyer)the above requested documents - My passports, the receipts of the bought items from the websites, utility bills etc.

I waited for 2 whole days, nothing!

& then I started to call. I called and spoke with some man who then handed the phone to a lady who called herself Dora. She apologised for the delayed response because some members of their staff had fallen sick - which I realize, after going through other reviews here on trustpilot, is an excuse they've been using for their poor customer service since 2020 during the Covid lockdowns. She promised to respond to my email, which she did about 30minutes later. She claimed she didn't get all the documents on the dropbox link and only found few of them. I re-uploaded the documents and then sent them directly via Email to make sure there can't be any excuses.

I waited until the following Monday before I started calling again. Took them a long time before the same man finally answered. I asked to speak to Dora and he asked me to hold while he took the phone to her, which he did. They didn't even have the decency to cover the mouthpiece and I could hear them arguing in German - she was refusing to talk to me and then they hung up. I called back immediately, no answer.

At this point I was frustrated and angry and I sent them 2 emails expressing this frustration before getting a response back.

And here's what this scam of a company replied:

"Dear Romy,

Am really sorry for delayed answer, bud we do not work over weekends.

I did not hang up, the line was cut like last time. I do not have any reason for haning up to you.

Yes I was talking because I still did not have answer for you and because of that I waited until I go on phone because he is my Boss and neeed to talk with him.

Anyhow but am very sorry to inform you but your documents were not enoguh.

Your account will be closed, after looking trough your documents we find them not sufficient enoguh to proceed with your shipping. If possible, we will return your items. The items will be confiscated by the police and returned to seller.

I could not believe my eyes! What sort of fraud are these people running? "If possible", they would return my items? To who? Why on earth would they do that?

I have since sent about a dozen emails and gotten no response. I have called and called and called and they won't answer. The one time I borrowed a friend's phone to call them, which would show a different number, as soon as they heard it was me, they hung up! Then they stopped picking calls from UK numbers altogether. They are a thieving company!

I PROMISE YOU, THIS IS 100% A SCAM COMPANY! THE POSITIVE REVIEWS MUST ALL BE FAKE! READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS FOR A BETTER PICTURE OF WHO THEY ARE.

I have contacted a family friend in Germany who has promised to take it up with the police and I will make sure I get my merch from these thieves!

Do not under any circumstances do business with MyGermany! You will regret it!

15 days and they have no update, can't find my package, can't ship it out, or all of the above.

It has been 15 days since my parcel arrived in their warehouse. (This review was originally posted at another website last week. I will just copy-paste for brevity.)

I got in contact with their chat support right away after the tracking notified me that the parcel arrived at their warehouse. I always knew it would take them a day or two to ship out a parcel so I immediately contacted them.

When my parcel was not shipped out a few days later I started to get suspicious. Their chat support, "Kathlene", was the person I was in contact with. Apparently she's getting ignored in the first few days of this ordeal by their own warehouse team. Read it again.

She told me she sent emails to the warehouse team with responses such as that they are looking for it, but most went unanswered. On the 7th day, that's when her warehouse team budged and just told her to tell me to just wait for an update. No details, no proper update. I was just shooed away. Then there's "John" in the e-mail support that just sends scripted replies and will be of no help at all.

They have since stopped replying today when I asked for a manager to communicate with me that is directly responsible for the warehouse. I was very cordial communicating with them until the end even if I had every right to be outraged.

It seems that their customer service is outsourced and just relays the concern to the company officers. It's outrageous that even their customer service is being ignored by their company or had no direct coordination except acting as proxy customers for their customers. This should give anyone an idea about their customer service.

They used to be not like this. I used their service in the past and had no problem. Probably grew too big or changed management. This, I don't know. But definitely, they changed for the worse. If the board members of the company care about their business, they should look closely at the conduct of their employees or their customer service structure.

Their website does not automatically send the transcript of the chat support to your email (unlike other websites). So I manually sent Kathlene's conversation to me. Therefore I have evidence. Including my correspondence with "John" in the email. There is no way anyone can deny what transpired and the lapses that occurred.

I will keep on updating this review until I receive my package.

-- UPDATE -- (This was last Dec. 27)

- Contacted chat support. I was informed that their warehouse team is still ignoring them. THEIR OWN WAREHOUSE TEAM. No updates, no messages -- nothing.

- Email support has still completely ignored my multiple emails.

- Saved chat transcript for reference.

- Be warned, it seems the company is either new management, or hijacked(?) since their service is nothing as it was months ago. I do not recommend their service at this point.

NOTE: They completely ignored me in the other review website.

UPDATE (JAN 4):

-They reported me and attempted to have my review taken down in the other website. And suddenly I was asked to have my review authenticated here. These, rather than contacting me or resolving the issue. I have read that this tactic has been used to other customers in other reviews, so I was expecting it. This review would stay up. No matter what.

- Still no communication about the status of my parcel.

Tip for consumers:

Avoid. There are numerous reviews already that they are also completely being ignored by the company.

Literal scammers. They lose items which they don't compensate for and misquote on postage estimates.

This utterly corrupt company has been dragging out the compensation process for three months after they lost a German purchase (worth EUR 210) I sent to them and for which I have proof that they received because they signed for it.

After a month they suddenly claim that it had been "accidentally sent to another customer in error and that it was definitely in transit back to them." I had the displeasure of dealing with * who many others customers with similar issues end up being handled by. This is probably because she is the master of wasting your time by making you repeatedly explain the details of the claim every time you email her for an update despite all the details being in the thread of emails I'd been forced to send every couple of weeks in my futile attempt to be compensated.

Never ONCE during the three months did these unscrupulous bastards contact ME to furnish me with an update about my claim which is proof that they had zero intention of making amends on what is 100% their error. I even asked them for the tracking number of the item being returned to them by the customer they sent it to in error and was stonewalled each time. After much pushing, live chat eventually gave me the email address of the claims manager there who I contacted but did not receive a reply from.

They hire English speakers from poorer countries to handle their live chat who they proceed to hide behind (you can never contact them directly) so that they never have to bear the brunt of their disgusting behaviour. The cherry on the top was being FORCED to send my last consolidated parcel weighing just 500g from them via courier instead of deutschepost (which they offer) for EUR50 instead of EUR20.

I have kept all of the correspondance with these literal thieves and will be happy to share it with anyone who questions the veracity of my experience.

Update February 8 2023 - replied to the message from Chris S the rep with my details at the end of November and still no reply from them. It's all lip service from these fraudsters - they have no intention of making good on their error. This gang of crooks would rather intimidate review sites with their lawyers into having truthful accounts of their contemptuous behaviour removed. Thankfully sitejabber didn't yield to their threats and this review remains public.

Bad People, Slow and Expensive service with Bad Communication!

N short, very very very slow and expensive service. Also very bad communication. They don't care about you as a customer. Highly frustrating and helpless experience!

In detail...
I found their website and tried their consolidation service. There is some 24-48h delay in acknowledgment of receiving items by their staff/system, but my last item was delivered on 16.01.2019 and after few days nothing no notification what so ever. After asking by email, eventually they acknowledge that item arrived on 21.01.2019(5 days laying in their warehouse). I then immediately ask for consolidation by the web interface and nothing in 3 days(only excuses), after few emails on 4th day they finally consolidated my items, but they split my items in two separate parcels(one of their scams) and asked 137 for shipment to Croatia by DHL. 2 x cca 10kg boxes, one box is 32'' monitor and other are some car parts and some IT stuff(graphic card, 2 sdd, 2 hdd), some cordless aku drill and some batteries all in a 43x34x35cm box total 10,1 kg. Even I asked few times by emails and we agreed to send it by GLS standard(Land route), 33 according to GLS website up to 40kg(so 100+ for their service of consolidation cca 10-15 items), because of the batteries can't be shipped with some services and that was even their proposal(another one of their tricks to get you as a customer) at the beginning when I asked about shipping cost and methods.

They reply to emails in a day when they need you(acquire new customers), in about 24h. But when you need them they won't reply even after 6 days and 3 emails + 1 contact form. Finally on 6th day with no reply I phoned them and asked about my shipment and can they send it by GLS as agreed and the guy told me they can, but "the price will be nearly the same as DHL". And he said, that there is no option to pay for GLS, I need to pay for DHL and they will credit my account if there is something left. Because it has been 2 weeks and I need my stuff, I paid 137($160) for this shipping from Germany to Croatia by DHL.

They also do not reply to all your questions and skillfully ignore shipping cost calculations even you get them exact details and links to products for estimate, they will say "we can ship your parcel for a good price via GLS on the land route", so if you have some more questions, or you just want your first questions to be answered. You are unlucky because, you will need to wait another day or two just for clarification...

Basically they "soft blackmail" you, if you ordered and invested in some goods, they know, that they got you now and they will charge high shipping even if you agreed with them before that they send it to you by cheaper land route for example. They will not answer your emails and you are left only with two expensive choices of shipping(be careful especially if you have batteries) and they know it, that's why they ignore you. Then after it was paid and sent, they will somehow find time to email you and say something like sorry for delay + some excuses, but next time we will give you 10% off, yeah right, you will never see me again! 2 Weeks and 140, I could go to Germany myself and pick it up and avoid all the waiting and frustration. But after XX days of waiting and no reply, you will gave up and you want your stuff finally delivered and select higher shipping and be done with it. And that is their filthy game.

Final thoughts,
It is a DISGRACE how they treat their customers, just unbelievable!
If you don't want to feel ignored, frustrated, helpless and finally scammed by high shipping prices, AVOID this company at all cost, you have better, more faster and cheaper options.

Please note that these bad people will do anything and use any immoral tactic to remove as much as possible negative reviews, they bribe people, they lie and cheat, etc... They removed my reviews from few sites already, but I'm fighting back to bring them back online. These are some really bad people.

NEVER AGAIN

I will try my best to keep it short so everyone can follow up what they do behind the scenes.

If you visit their site and check what 'Drop Shipment' is, you will see the explanation I quote, "myGermany receives your parcels at your virtual German shipping address, wont check or repack, and will directly forward it to the customer."

That is a BIG lie! All my orders, I did choose so called 'drop shipment' option, but they did open my packages, re-packed them with a thick, bulky & extremely big box. So with this going, your goods are being weighted more and you are to pay more on their check-out.

I did log a complaint on their system. My complaint was exactly complaining about the package weight being 6KG. I ordered 1 pair of Timberland boots + Light ankle boots. They both cannot possibly be weighing 3KG.

After my complaint, they changed the weighted values and they tried to turn the situation out on their behalf by stating we are offering you free service by re-packaging you goods with a solid box, bla, bla. Again. I did not ask for it, i did even choose 'Drop Shipment'.

They charged me 31 or 31 EURO. You can find way cheaper companies (such as the one parcl.com, see German shippers) to have your shipment from Germany to Bulgaria.

Well, see the attached pictures, see the box, see the garbage they shipped me! They will speak for their selves!

Before you start checking the pictures, here are my other complaints.
1) hidden prices -> check their pricing page and you will see almost everything is listed as 'free', but when you calculate your shipment, there you don't have any idea how much they are charging from you.

I used their services several time just because I thought they were the only forwarding company, and I was wrong! I am now using https://www.parcl.com/ and having really good deals.
