I've tried getting my account fixed for weeks. I did bill pay and no one will cash checks. They won't give me money back. Terrible. Someone needs to step in and sue.
If you use this POS to get your tax refund be aware they put a withdrawal limit that they refuse to lift I had the worst experience trying to buy my truck two hours from home got half the money they locked my card took almost three hours to get the money then now at 2 am my husband is stranded trying to get money and this son of a $#*! is declining. I held 45 minutes just trying to get a live person to be told there's nothing they can do wait till tomorrow morning and try again
I have owned every prepaid card under the sun and serve is the worst with options for cash withdraws fees are too high customer service sucks and when they do answer good look being able to understand them. You are not even able to use them for Apple Pay. They tell you you can then when you go to buy something it gets declined at every retailer. And they actually my you to have your pay directly deposited too them that's a joke
I asked for a replacement card they would not issue me one no one speaks good English I understand that part but they do not want to help people they treat there customers like that when we pay there salary
This is the worst debit cards out there! They will lock your account for no reason and when you call customer service they act like they can't do anything to help you. This is a horrible company and highly recommend you stay away from them. If you do have an account with them cancel it immediately! I wish I could give them a negative star because that's what this company is. Straight trash!
The henchman for AMERICAN EXPRESS, one of the nation's pioneers in the world of finance, had a staggering year with numbers it had nwill beot seen in a long, very long time. How is it that they can change their policy to suit their needs at their will and receive protection from the industry leaders. Policies state as follows, "Monies being held will be returned when the merchant completes the transaction." When it should state that monies being held by the merchant will be returned when we (AMERICAN EXPRESS) feels like returning it. AMERICAN EXPRESS is allowed to do what no person in the United States of America is allowed to do. Should I exercise the practices that AMERICAN EXPRESS does I would be arrested for fraud. As AMERICAN EXPRESS should be. AMERICAN EXPRESS will verbally say this is their policy which contradicts everything the written policy says. So AMERICAN EXPRESS how much more money do you think American's can be defrauded out of this year. How much more money, AMERICAN EXPRESS, can you lie, cheat and steal from the hardworking people of this great country. AMERICAN EXPRESS should be like the ostrich and not the rhino. Please AMERICAN EXPRESS go bury your head in shame. You have but one brand name AMERICAN EXPRESS and u do nothing to deserve or protect that name.
Used bill pay, they said it was sent but the Bank it was supposed to go never, got my payment and Amex said they can do anything I will never used again!
Applied for income tax advance through Jackson Hewitt. Serve card never arrived, and I was not given access to my funds. When I called customer service, it was outsourced to a foreign country where the representative barely spoke English. They kept me on hold forever and never resolved my concerns. All they did was tell me to wait 30 days for the card to be issued. What a scam. Stay away!
Don't use, was supposed to get my refund 2 days ago. One person tells me in 24 hrs and the next tells me 8 days. Will never use this again or Hewitt Jackson. Not worth the extra money I spent. Going back to hr block

I called to get a replacement card on 1/18/24 advised representative that address on file was incorrect, have moved from that address over two years ago. Advised wait 7-10 days for card, those days came and went never received card. Reach back out to customer service on two occasions was advised it was sent to correct address and continue to wait, also given FED tracking number which was invalid. Third call back spoke with a very tacky unprofessional rep, he advised me again it was mailed to correct address and continue to wait... Fast forward to 2/8/24 another call made was advised mailed to incorrect address, address was given informed card will be here 2/14-it's 2/15 NO CARD HASN'T STILL ARRIVED! Call customer service 2/15/24 to see what the issue, UNPROFESSIONAL RUDE, someone that listen to only respond... not to understand and comprehend not very helpful...
I got a prepaid Serve card that my tax refund was deposited into. It is so strict and so limited. I can hardly use it. There is a $500 daily limit and that includes purchases and withdrawals. If you try to login and cannot, it will lock you out and you have to call them to unlock it. The customer service reps are from probably India or Pakistan so it can be hard to understand them. I've only had the card for two days and I've had to contact them to get several issues resolved. Also, even though they give you a routing and account number, you can't use it as a bank account with your PayPal account. In the future I'll just have the money deposited into my bank account instead.
After I had my card for 6 years I transfered $400 from Greylock fcu to serve The fcu took the money back,Serve wouldn't let me sever the fcu ( their CEO got busted for fraud and putting his parole officer on the)BOD) The serve guy heard what happened and then he shut down my account,This is a fraudster dream Cancelled accounts are not allowed to use CS
I got my visa debit card to pay bills. They sent me a routing number & acct. No. So when the card number wasnt enough, I used those also. 2 months go by & I find out from my creditors (which have marked me thanks to serv) they told them my acct was frozen. I called serve 3 times & each time they told me everything was fine my acct was not frozen & was good to go. This last time I finally find out the acct. Number & the routing number are FALSE! No good, fake! NOT TO BE USED. Instead of helping me get ahead, they have ruined the little credit I had. Now it will be another 7 years before I can start over thanks to serve.bull
First, my card had a transaction on it before I activated the card. I made a purchase and a few days later I could not find my card so I reported it lost or stolen. Fraud department told me that my funds will be credited if I send the affidavit back within 10 days. I sent it within the time frame and requested for another card. They said it will be between 7-10 business days. Cool…. However it's been over 1 month and I was still waiting. Customer service told me a different story every time I spoken to them. They even sent me multiple cards. I just received one of them after waiting over a month. And it cannot be activated because they sent several cards. Not to mention… they will not give my money back from the fraudulent charges for 45-90 business days! First they said it will be credited to my account within 3 days of sending the affidavit, and the affidavit must be sent within 10 days, or I'll have to wait 45-90 days if they don't receive the affidavit within 10 days. THAT WAS A LIE! I cannot access the $138.90 on the card, nor will they credit me for the fraudulent charges! It's been over a month!
Dont waste your time! It's not worth the headache! Deal with a company that can be honest and not rip you off!
They charge 1.50 activation fee then as soon as you activate the card they charge you $7 monthly fee do not use this card its better cards out there
If you ever find yourself in need of a debit card DO NOT GET A SERVE CARD!
I made a Hotel Deposit using one of these cards.took over 30 days for my money to put back on my card. Then the problems began, I could not withdrawal my money, every other time I used it in the store it would be declined! I don't remember how many times I've called to get the card off hold! I don't remember how many hours I've spent on the phone trying to get this straightened out. MIGHT HELP if they would hire people that can understand what you are saying. Save yourself the biggest headache in the world and avoid that card, it is not worth the aggravation!

I bought a serve card from Dollar general to pay my electric bill that was being disconnected that day if I didn't pay 440 dollars. Put 440 cash on the card and can't spend it. Have called numerous times in last 4 days and get the run around...I have a lady on the phone right now trying to connect me with upper management I suppose and it's been several minutes. I believe they should take responsibility and pay my reconnect bill. It' says on the card can spend immediately! That's false advertisement. If my card isn't handled today I am reporting to the better business bureau.that's sad to do ppl like this.

I HATE PREPAID CARDS AND THIS ONE HERE IS THE WORST
I bought two of those card trying to use them to activate a cell phone, anytime when I tried to get the authorization the transaction was declined, I tried to use them everywhere and the only part that I get an authorization was in Ross and it was just a little amount. All the money that I had on those cards were consumed by inactivities, I contacted customer services and the agent informed to me I should register the card this customer service has not knowglege whatsoever about those cards. As per card ad's information there was not hidden fee but in reality is something different, they a hidden fee every where. I would never use those card again, and I would advise anyone to refrain to use them, the this is big scam.
