I posted a negative 1* star review of WRITERS TREE in March 2025 after they collected their total fees but failed to publish my IRS book on "How to Avoid IRS Audits." Then the retaliation started. I began getting daily phishing emails and scam telephone calls. It has been nerve wracking to receive a daily dose of emails from porn sites with expletive sex acts – 10 at a time – every single day. I'm 80 years old and don't visit porn sites. No amount of software spam blockers work. These are sophisticated operators. I report phishing each time, block each email, block each call, but they just keep on coming. Every day. My bank also had to cancel a credit card due to fraudulent activities. I believe that I'm targeted by criminal actors who are sophisticated enough to slip by multiple filters and spam blockers. I cannot prove that Writers Tree is behind these criminal activities, but I believe that a sudden surge of spam just after my posts is the direct result of my negative reviews and not just coincidence. I plead for the FBI, Federal Trade Commission and Attorneys General to investigate if other authors who posted bad reviews against Writers Tree experience the same backlash. We as consumers who are scammed need protection by our government from unscrupulous enterprises.
