As a beginner looking at a broker that provides what I need in terms of the educational materials and resource development is definitely cool and the fundamental and technical analysis is the icing on the cake.
Analytics of activtrades is on a nother level i think. I have never seen such a professional approach to the analytics at any forex broker I have traded with. It goes without saying that I take the trading ideas for the day from there very often, almost every day.
You have to understand that this type of analytics cost them money to create and they provide it for free to everybody. Big props for that!
The leverage is quite a bit lower than with other brokers, if you are outside of EU just 200 as a max, bit of an insult, especially considering this platform is Great for scalping, with the accs and the platform. Activtrader even has Tradingview. But leverage should be higher to take advantage of it all. Many assets have 50x as a top...
I think they'll improve on this though.
Of course, when I joined ActivTrades broker I knew nothing about trading. The support team recommended me to try a demo account to adapt to the platform and conditions on the market.
It was useful and found out all the highlights and recently I started trading on an individual account. Negative balance protection makes me feel relieved cuz I worry I can lose it all
I've been trading with ActivTrades for a while, and one thing that I seriously consider when choosing a platform is how they process withdrawals. ActivTrades excels in this regard!
Deposits are processed instantly, and withdrawals are processed faster than I expected. Apparently, their payment system is quite good. Also, it is good to know they are keeping clients' funds in a segregated account.
I've dealt with brokers that had delayed payments before, so this efficiency is refreshing.
I've met more modern brokers that gave me more unique tools, like AI or just a platform that looked slick and impressive. But they, all of them, had no regulations at all. I wonder if there is a connection.
On the other hand, Activtrades its not the best in terms of costs, but it has all the world governments behind it. FCA, SCB, CMVM, BACEN, CVM, you name it.
In the end, I chose the best of both worlds, and my thinking is like this: I hold 70-80% of my trading cash with Activtrades, but have 20-30% with others just to test some tools and see how good they are atm.
The platform variety is definitely there, its prob the best broker (mby second best?) with that. Quality of execution on short timeframes is top-notch, whenever I am locked-in and try to scalp something, this feels amazing. The account variety is not there though. There is no specific account for scalping (at least, I haven't found one). They should create one, because of how good it is in general here. I'm sure more algo traders would flock, because right now, when I'm scalping by hand, its amazing, but with bots, I woulndn't do it.
This is the only broker that I can 100% trust that its not scamming me. I trade with 3 of them and 2 honestly have a bit better conditions, but there are some weird trades and weird order executions sometimes. With Activtrades, there's nothing like that, the bugs not present, just works. This is the oldest brokers also from the ones I trade, others are 3-5 years, so maybe they are still figuring it out.
70% of my cash for trading is stored here, others are 20% and 10%, because I can't trust them to not dissappear on me one day. 20-year history isn't built easily.
The leverage is low compared to brokers i know, but it's fine, it's less yolo, more stable. I feel like I can grow more stable here, because they also provide so many signals and analytical tools. A lot more information to work with than I had before with just me and the browser. About 30% of the trades I take now I simply wouldn't see before.
20+ years in busines is long enough for every business, but in this indusitry, it is like ages. It is impressive what ActivTrades has achieved over these years. This shows their understanding of traders;s needs and speaks volumes about their professionalism.
Its impressive reputation is well deserved. I have been enjoying each year of working with them.
Answer: It's possible to earn your living by trading Forex only. Some people do this, but you should realize that it's not so easy to do. You need to take several trading courses, practice trading on a demo account and then it will take several years of hard work on a real account to become a professional trader. Set your mindset to a serious and hard work.
Answer: Great to know about the execution process and competitive spreads. But withdrawals time is important for me
Answer: Cool that Activtrades got a choice here, because, the interface of Metatrader and overall the process of placing orders in this certain software, might seem to be a little bit complicated for the beginner. You need to understand lots, pips, margins, many things… That’s why I think it’s better to stick to the custom Activtrader platform. It has a more user-friendly interface and easier navigation throughout the platform. I guarantee you’ll find what buttons to click to do your charts or open positions. In terms of executions and tools, no difference from Metatrader, I’d say, it even outperforms it by more attractive charts.
Answer: Well sorry to be smartypants, but if I answer your question directly, then no! By just watching, you will not get much of the results. TO improve your skills, you need to watch, take notes and then use what you have learned in your trading, and only then, with enough practise, you will improve your skills. It's the same as saying that I will learn how to box by watching all of Beterbiev's fights😂 So take this seriously and if you practise according to the webinars, then for sure, sucess will be yours.
Answer: My belief - whatever has biggest moves in short-term, Activtrades is one of VERY few ones that allows scalping and algos. Activtrades has over 1k cfds, so choose what you feel comfortable with, but preferably with at least 30-50 pips moves during a day. I would not choose stable USD assets (unless there's somethign major going on). I know lots of people trade gold here, but my personal view - the minor pairs, any JPY pairs, exotics. EUR/USD or USD/CHF is still fine ofc, just doesn't take advantage of some of the tools.
Answer: The big positive side is the ActivTrader platform: it is visually cool, at least for me, has the progressive trailing stop, hedging, a crap ton of chart types, plus the market sentiment indicator is really good to have. Its jsut a more progressive and updated version of the Mts and cTs of this world. The leverage you ask about is really low here compared to other brokers that offer CFDs trading. I've seen brokers with 1:3000 even, here its 1:400 (1:200 for most, realistically). If you want to gamble with 10 bucks, if you want the THRILLS, this is obviously not a broker for you. ActivTrades is more about safe, slow grind. They discourage using high leverage for trying cheap gains, they encourage building a winning strategy and slowly growing from there. Thats what I would say.
Answer: It is not just one thing for me... it is a culmination of all of them, because if the broker was specialized in only one aspect, it would not be enough. So everything from the trading conditions, to the trading platforms and the branding, for me, activtrades does it right.
Answer: Buddy, as a trader, you need to know which brokerage companies in the industry have flawless reputations. It is good that you have noticed ActivTrades' reputation since it is one of those few I mentioned earlier. The thing that influences reputation is their track record. ActivTrades has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, but it is not only about its longevity but also about being a reliable and trustworthy broker throughout the years. If you search online, I don't believe that you will find any open or unresolved issues with traders. They seem to have an excellent track record.
Answer: Yeah, pretty much. Since pricing on the platform is one of the most crucial things ot consider before joining, I checked everything beforehand and made the decisions in broker's favor. I trade commodities and spreads usually vary. (obviously, lol) For instance, on spot commodities like gold, spreads are 0.4-0.9 pips in average. It's awesome taking into account how volatile the asset can be.
Answer: As far as I know, there are not many significant differences between professional account and individual one. But I am ready to share some of the aspect: 1) Leverage i up to 1:400 2) Close out level is up to 30% 3) Dedicated account manager Moreover, there's a very peculiar cash back program, possibility to refer friends and get rewards for that and some other perks. In my opinion professional account is something that is worth acquiring, even though I believe you should have particular experience. That is the reason why it's called "professional", it's definitely not for rookies and if you are interested in switching on it, then feel free to apply or ask customer support about precise conditions.
