I wrote this on Google and I plan to rewrite it wherever I can. I reached out to inquire about casket pricing for a family friend, and the person who picked up, possibly Terry as mentioned in previous reviews, was incredibly unpleasant and rude. It's mind-boggling how someone with such a terrible attitude can work in an industry meant for helping those who have lost loved ones. The lack of compassion was evident throughout the conversation. I plan to escalate this further, and I encourage anyone facing similar issues to do the same. The one-star rating for this store is entirely justified. My advice: steer clear of this place. Their treatment of potential customers is reason enough for them to either shape up or shut down.
Called this company about a specific brand/model of casket. Spoke with owner TERRY CERVANTES who runs this abomination with his wife ELVIRA. He seemed annoyed that I had questions that needed to be answered. Terry said I was window shopping! Wouldn't buy a toothpick from this piece of s--t. STAY AWAY!
Terry or whatever his name is is the worst individual that you can deal with while grieving. I can not believe that someone will be so rude, arrogant, obnoxious and messy just because you are asking a question a casket which one has never bought before. Please stay away from this man and this company. They are really HORRIBLE people. He screams and talks over people... The RUDEST PERSON ALIVE. Run as fast as you can. We went somewhere else and purchased a casket for my dad for even a cheaper price and very friendlier, polite and stress free customer service.
I called to inquire about the costs to ship a casket to California. Individual on the phone asked a few questions, put me on hold. Then told me that the funeral home that we arrange with does not allow for outside caskets. Then rudely hung-up. Didn't allow me to speak or explain what the funeral home had let us do. We had already spoke to the funeral home and they let us know that we could purchase our own casket from anywhere as long as it was in their facility 48 prior to services. No explanation why, but just hung up. Tip for the owners: People are going through an extreme already emotional time. A little bit of common courtesy and customer service go a long way. Show a bit of compassion. Tip for possible buyer: When customer service stinks, the quality of the product follows suit. Please pay the extra elsewhere and avoid disappointment on already a difficult time. Their customer service speaks volumes of their business.
Thank you to best price caskets for making the only funeral I had anything to do with go so smoothly., the casket was flawless, and on time just as you told me it would be, and we saved over 900.00 over funeral home price. I most definitely would go with best price caskets again.
We spoke to a representative at Best Price caskets. He was the rudest customer service person I've ever spoke to. He literally called me stupid and asked me how I could so slow. Their prices aren't the lowest as they say. Infact after delivery they were more than buying from Titan directly. Don't give this jerk your business. He's the last person you'll want to speak to while grieving. What an ugly individual.

Thank God I have found a better place to buy a casket for my dad. After I called a few casket companies, I found https://trustedcaskets.com, they have exactly the same casket but are much more cheapie. The casket from Trusted Caskets arrived at my funeral home on time with no issues. Be aware of unprofessional companies.
Called to purchase a child's casket only to be told I didn't know anything about the size of casket I was looking to purchase. The more I questioned the measurements the more Terry became extremely rude, arrogant and extremely unprofessional. He persisted to verbally abuse me and I was in shock at his behavior. I think the man is drunk and obviously needs serious help. I'd hate to be the girl working alongside this awful man. I'd never recommend Best price caskets or Direct Caskets (same company).

I ordered a casket for my recently deceased 26-month-old grandson. The casket was supposed to be delivered on Oct 5th prior to the funeral on Monday the 12th. The owner Terry Zimmer assured me that it would be here. The Funeral home called today Oct 7th to find out where the casket was. I contacted BMX exports aka Best Price caskets to find out what the hold up was. After 2 hours of the runaround, I was informed that they didn't ship it and were out of stock. No one contacted me, my card was charged for $1100 and we have no casket for the funeral. My children who just lost their son now have to choose a stock steel casket to bury their child. Terry Zimmer told me I was stupid several times asked me if I was going to cry now. He is an evil man with no consideration for human loss or grief. Please do not order anything from this company or any of its subsidiaries.
I would never recommend this company to anyone! My cousin who is in the funeral business has recommended this company to us and to numerous other individuals. I do not think they realize just how much business they have lost from him! (Truth be told I'm sure the owner doesn't care, because of the way he treats his customers) We have used this company in years past and It WAS great service, however until yesterday! Called them to order a casket for my Aunt who had passed away, my cousin first spoke to someone who was extremely rude after asking how much my aunt weighed. He talked over her while she was trying to get information on what she needed to order, only to be hung up on. I then called back to get our questions answered. I was asking about sizes etc and in a condescending rude tone was asked "where does a body go? On the inside of a casket right!". I then went on to say he didn't need to be rude I was asking a question to then be asked if I was stupid and then was cursed at and hung up on. How this company can stay in business is beyond me and if this is how they treat people who are grieving their loved ones I would hate to see how they treat other people! I really hope the low ratings effects their business! They should NOT be working with people in such a vulnerable state! Terry, the owner of this company should be ashamed at how he treats people!
We spoke with Terry at Best Price Casket while trying to order the Mother's casket. Instead of answering our questions regarding the casket and a different head panel Terry was very very rude. We really wanted the different head panel so we tried to continue with the purchase. However, Terry continued to be very rude. He would not tell us exactly what date the casket would ship out. Even though he claimed to have several of that model casket in stock. Our mortuary had room for the casket to accept delivery anytime. When my husband addressed Terry's rude behavior he was told I have 15 other calls. Then Terry called my husband stupid. At that point we did not order from them. The exact same casket is at several other online locations. The other companies will price match. Do NOT order from Best Price Caskets. Since their customer service is extremely bad we assume their caskets are equally bad.
My sister and I were looking to purchase an oversized casket for our mother. The person who assisted us named Terry, was very rude and disrespectful. We informed him we wanted to purchase the casket, he then asked for the weight and size of my mother, once we told him, he informed us the casket may be too small. We told him we would call back after we spoke to the crematory to confirm the purchase. While waiting to hear back from the crematory I received an alert from my bank I was charged $1,845 twice. I then called Terry back asking why was my card charged not once but twice? He began to yell and curse at me, I had to hang up because that was outrageous. This person and company have no sympathy for anyone dealing with the lost of a family member. I warn you to run away and never look back. I didn't read the reviews on this company because the grief I'm experiencing and everything else that I'm dealing with. But I urge you to read however many reviews you need to so you make the smart decision to take your business elsewhere.
Please be aware this company is a scam on top of being very, very unprofessional! This is the last company you want to deal with while trying to make arrangements for your loved one. The owner Terry was very unprofessional and tried to scam me by charging my card twice and did not want to issue me a refund. I had to call my bank and file a formal dispute. There are so many better company to choose from. You've been warned!
The sales representative I encountered at this company was simply an obnoxious bully, one who is obviously in the wrong profession. On 12-11-2020 I attempted to place an order at this company's website. When the credit card fields kept disappearing after selecting the type card I intended to use I called to place the order by phone. Quite to my surprise, I was not connected to a kind, sympathetic, helpful sales representative - quite to the contrary. Instead, I was literally berated by who I believed was an employee, but later discovered is the owner. Nevertheless, he was bent on doing everything they could to close the business. The text message I received (attached) is evidence of that.
It does not matter what product I was interested in purchasing. This sales person was keen on evoking my anger. He insulted me, badgered me, belittled me, pronounced false aspersions and expletives no rationale, moderately intelligent, and considerate person would cast on any customer! How this business is allowed to assert a rating, let along display the Better Business Bureau logo, is an affront to every other business that does. This sales person should not be allowed to speak to customers. If he is the owner, I extend my congratulations. From what I've read since this experience, he is doing an excellent job narrowing his customer base, shielding the business from sales growth.
As for a desired outcome, I want absolutely nothing from this business. I have no illusions of a sincere, cogent apology or anything resembling a truthful response. I have already ordered a casket from another company and expect to bury my mother without needless drama.
Yesterday, I was sitting with my 74 year old sister when she called this company to ask if there was a shipping charge added to the price listed for a casket. The person who answered the phone said in a sarcastic tone that it depended on where she was having it shipped to and when she wanted it. My sister replied in a joking manner that she wasn't dead yet. Before she could continue the man called her 'stupid'. I told my sister to hang up the phone because she should not have to deal with such a rude company. Then the man called her back and when she answered ‘hello' he said "Hey stupid, don't you even know where you are?" I told her to hang up again immediately. She called back the next day to attempt to inform management of the issue with an employee. She got the same person who told her he was the owner and she was wasting his time with pre-planning a funeral. He continued to berate her until she was in tears. I have never seen such insulting, rude, unprofessional behavior from someone that should be providing customer service. This company's actions are appalling.
If you are looking for gracious help, do not call this company. Say they were rude is an understatement. I called to ask if their Jewish caskets were constructed on the sabbath. Whomever the man was who answered the phone said, "I don't give a damn. Call me back when you want to purchase a casket. If anyone tells you that they know, they're lying to you". Thank you, but I don't think I'll ever call them back.
I was trying to purchase an urn online for my moms remains. I entered all my information and was unable to complete my purchase because of a glitch regarding shipping on their website. So I called the 800 number. The person who answered the phone was so rude. Began asking all the questions I had filled in online. Then he wanted info regarding my moms name and such I asked him why? He said, "Its necessary if you want a coffin delivered to funeral home". When I told him I wasn't interested in purchasing a casket, he replied, "then why are you wasting my time?" Wow.
Worst customer service I ever received. The guy we spoke to became very rude to us. We just asked a simple question of what type of caskets does his company uses. He became vey belligerent. So belligerent, we told we him that we didn't need his service. We hung up. This guy had the nerves to call back. My niece picked up the phone and told him that we didnt his service. He called my niece stupid. My family heard this along with the funeral director! I cant believe this guy conducts business like this. I was so irate, I would love to see this guy face to face! This is a guy that hides behind the telephone and is probably a keyboard warrior! This company should not be in business!
My wife called to order a casket and was hit with a barrage of rude comments and questions... by the owner of the company no less! I am concurring with the numerous reviews here stating the same thing.
I understand we're going through a difficult time with this pandemic, but empathy should be used for this line of business. The first time I called inquiring about a casket, customer service was GREAT! However when I called to get an update on the casket because it was not delivered the next day as advised, a gentleman answers the phone rudely, advised he wasn't in front of his computer, stated if I receive an email the information was there; placed me on hold and asked was all my questions answered before I could advised the email's information was unconfirmed. I called back the next day to check again for the casket, it seemed as if he was the knot person working, he answers again rudely, as if I was bothering him & push it off to the courier. The invoice stated for the courier to call the family to meet him at the Funeral Home and he did not do that. My family and I was waiting for 3hrs from the time I called the courier and he stated he was an hour away. He just dropped off the casket without notification and when I tried to reach him he ignored the call twice! Their customer service skills need to be handle differently.
Answer: Price shop online for the casket you want. Then approach the funeral home that you have chosen and ask them if they will match the price. Funeral homes are already making money on the funeral services and they hate internet competition. In my case they matched the price and I even avoided the shipping costs.
Answer: I purchased a casket from Best Price Caskets and the casket was of excellent quality, arrived on time, and was boxed and packaged correctly to prevent damage. In fact the funeral home asked for my signature to authorize the funeral home to uncrate the casket so it could be inspected. The funeral home uncrated in my presence and all was OK. A form then was sent to Best Price Caskets that all had arrived OK.
