This was my experience...
They ask for minimal info up front regarding the laptop. They promise swift payment. I wanted to believe. Firstly, once they send you a shipping label, they will immediately hound you by text, email and voice calls to send your laptop in (they don't even give you 24 hours). Once they receive it, they come up with a phoney list of issues that were never mentioned before. Here it is...

1: The laptop has a non-transferable warranty. Voided Warranty.
2: The laptop has signs of use.
3: The laptop battery health is at 47%. The battery cells are defective and not providing the full capacity battery charge. The battery is defective.

The warranty thing is obviously BS. They know that computers several years old don't carry warranties. The "signs of use" is BS. I had stated, per their website, that the condition was "fair" = "shows minor signs of wear". It had no scratches, cracks, dents, etc, and was always protected with a sleeve. I have no idea whether the battery comment is real or fake as I nearly always used it plugged in.

After promising me $150, they offered me $50!
I asked for them to return the laptop. They offered me $75.
At this point, I either accept the 50% offer or have to pay for them to return my own old laptop, so I accepted the offer.

They promise to pay within 24 hours. I waited for several days. No payment. No communication. I had to bug them to get them to pay up.

I hope your experience is better than mine if you choose to go with these chancers.

It's a scam. You describe your laptop using general terms and they describe what they'll pay. However, then they'll dock you for things unreasonably. For instance, I sold them a laptop model that was discontinued 5 years ago. When they received it, they docked me for many things including that it was no longer under warranty. When I asked them to send it back, they required that I spend the money to have it returned.

I sent my device to CashForUsedLaptop based on their promise of payment within one business day of receiving the package. However, that promise turned out to be false advertising. Once I contacted them about the delay, they conveniently updated their website to change this guarantee, trying to cover up their lies.

It's been [insert time here], and I still haven't received payment. Their customer service is the worst—completely unhelpful, unresponsive, and unwilling to provide real updates. At this point, it feels like they're just stealing devices sent to them.

This company is incredibly shady. If you're considering using them, don't risk it. You're better off selling your device elsewhere to avoid this kind of scam.

They're a bigger scam than I realized. I came across these jerk offs through a company that supposedly buys apple tablets and used laptops. On the phone they go by names like "Jay Smith" "Alex" "Doug" but thick middle eastern accents. Course no one who really is from the middle east has names like Jay Smith, Alex and Doug! Turns out there is a slew of companies with the same MOBILE number and the same 2 physical addresses. I contacted the police on them today. I'm also reporting them to the FTC as well as itc.gov They're clearly huge scam artists with numerous operations. Stay away from this company and any company affiliated with this address

The laptop is delivered yesterday and I tried to contact them for status. However, Texts, calls, emails, NO Response at all. It makes me very nervous for the situation.

Definitely would recommend and use them if your looking to sell laptops they respond within a quick time frame and give you direct answers without the extra background chat or run around. 10/10

I did not have a good experience on the amount of time it took for me to get my payment because it took days longer than originally stated and the communication was not good. Even though we had a holiday during the time, it still took days longer because they make their payments in "batches". Also, the amount I was quoted went way down because the company told me the warranty could not be transferred, even though the laptop maker said the warranty followed the computer, which was brand new. The box had never even been opened. I would NOT recommend their services. Ineffective communication and the amount was way less than the quote. I wonder how many people this has happened to? If you disagree with the quote, you have to pay for them to ship your equipment back to you and then start over. I'll bet not many people opt for that.

They were the only ones who would accept my old laptops. I didn't get much money for them because they were broken but they recycled what could not be used.

The entire team made the process seem less and very enjoyable. I have enjoyed working with them very much. Fast payment as well! Everything as promised!

A really great place to sell your laptop and get paid for selling it and super really great customer service

Overall pretty happy. I was offered less than what I was quoted after they looked at my laptop, but they explained in detail the reason for the lower offer. They were friendly and efficient in processing the sale. I would also like to mention that I had contacted several different companies about selling my laptop, and no one accepts Chromebooks, apparently. Cash For Used Laptop was the only company willing to purchase my Chromebook, so thank you!

Kept my laptop and offered me $10 on an original quote of $150. They hound you to send them your device but never answer any questions or ship it back once they get it. At least other sites pay for return shipping. DO NOT USE, WILL TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!
