They don't provide any real service and they don't attract any real profiles. It's too hard. They chose the easy way: they guilt you into subscribing, get your bank details and overcharge you. They have tricky T&C that justify the embezzlement. Search elsewhere. Overall I like J1Love.com
-they have give me the experiences of a lifetime – been meeting their pretty girls for real. I have nothing but the most positive words to say about the community – the overall vibe is nice, and the women are genuine.
To sum it up, I want to encourage everyone to stop wasting their money on fraudulent sites like ChristianMingle. Don't get desperate, just change your strategy and methods: perseverance always pays off.
Everything you're hearing about no real profiles is completely true. You'll get several views and a like or two during your free 3 day trial. These are likely bots to convince you to pay for the service. I have seen other reviewers complain of getting their account suspended for no reason at all. I have had it happen to me once already. Customer service was less than helpful. They described it as a "glitch that sometimes happens." That's just not really acceptable as an answer. They restored my account and now back at it, after three weeks on the site, one single like from a person that was 1000 miles away from me. I am a great looking guy with a well written profile, and no baggage. At the risk of sounding conceited here, I should be a little more popular than this. This website is just not worth your time.
First of all, you have to pay quite a lot for subscription to be able to contact members. If you prefer to use paid sites, there are a lot more reliable and trusted alternatives. Secondly, the overwhelming majority of accounts on ChristianMingle are terribly outdated and abandoned. The reply rate is very low. Thirdly, be careful with automatic renewals and annual subscription. You have to read the fine print, the site is very tricky! Alas, it's not the platform you can trust, you can to stay on our toes, watch your wallet. And still... chances are low.
All the profiles are fake. After signing up, suddenly got a ton of spam email and phone calls. None of the so called "members" ever reply.
Most of the users shown are not active. They have a view called "online". Few if any of the people in that view are actually online.
I got more activity from users 100s of mikes away than localy. Two from West Virginia were fraudulant. I reported one, she was removed. Then i suggested the other from WV mightbe fake as well. Then they removed me.😲
This used to be a good site. Not so sure online dating is valid anywhere. This site certainly is not.
This site is a bad joke! Two times they blocked my profile (for safety reasons, as they stated) right after I had paid for membership! They simply took my money. I quit it when it happened for the 2nd time. I had to spend hours on CM trying to figure out who is real and who is fake. The majority of ChristianMingle women (especially the good-looking ones) are fake.
I'm writing this review for a family member who typically doesn't leave feedback but felt compelled to after his dismal experience with Christian Mingle. He signed up for a six-month subscription expecting matches aligned with his faith values. Instead, he encountered a random matching process, including a trans woman as a match and noticing unmarried pregnant women on the site, which he found wholly inappropriate for a Christian platform. Simply put, this site is trash!
I honestly believe this site is the most dishonorable dating site I've tried thus far. Look at the BBB ratings and you will find the vast majority who have spend hundreds of dollars experienced loads of fake profiles, almost no responses from anyone other than over 500 miles away, etc. Add that to the archaic search features which waste tons of time and the terrible interface with phones and tablets and customer service that makes your cable and internet providers look like saints (it's that bad). The fact that the word Christian is in the name is reprehensible. Is there no shame or conviction in the ownership?
I joined Jan 2024 and quit Feb 2024 after buying a 6 month membership. Summary of experience: Of 30 men I "chatted with"—- maybe 2 were real life people who were there for honest reasons. Which means all the others were scammers. My stress level increased expotentially as I realized I had to develop a high level of suspicion I never had in my daily life.
Other issues: preferences make no difference as your "matches" from CM do not reflect anything you marked in preferences. Clunky slow messaging—takes way too long to even chat with someone. Takes 30 minutes to say what you could have said in SMS or by phone in 5-7 minutes. Doubtful that CM vet any profile based on my experience. They probably are misrepresenting their success rate of real connections since my experience produced very different stats. Definitely not worth any level of membership.
There's definitely fake profiles on Christian mingle I bought a year subscription and canceled a 3 months before it ended I couldn't take the scams and fake profiles anymore they should be ashamed of themselves and they're supposed to be a Christian site shame on them for scamming people the way they do I'm sorry but I like my men with teeth there's some nasty nasty looking men on their I mean they're supposed to be an attraction and they were matching me with men that were 20 years older than me and the ones that weren't I wouldn't let my worst enemy date them what's really funny is that I was getting tons of emails and then as soon as I subscribe to the site the emails stopped..
The site post pictures of people that's barely on the site. They have a very small audience and basically charging you for something they can deliver on.
I am strong Christian woman and had seen many commercials for this website so I thought I would try it. Here is why people should beware and read all the reviews, not just mine, before signing up!
I was only on this website for about 5 days before they were sending me "Alerts" regarding some of the profiles that were posted on the website! Scary! ** These were men that they were warning me about but they still had their profiles uploaded on the website!
I started communicating with 2 men, not the ones they were warning me about. The profiles of these 2 men sounded as though we might have something in common. The first one immediately wanted to meet with me. I said let's talk first. I thought it strange that his profile pic showed him running on the beach but it looked like there was an arm of someone else that was obviously with him, but the body was being blocked out. I continued to text with him, not wanting to judge the pic, alone. We texted back and forth and he sent me 2 more pictures. One showed him with Santa and two elves, but HE WAS WEARING A WEDDING RING! The second picture was showing him with his arms folded and his right hand showing but he blocked out his left hand completely! As a photographer, I could tell it was definitely done purposely by the way he was posed! I asked him when the pics were taken and he said recently! What a scammer!
I had a funny feeling about him but wanted to text and see if my instincts were just me being cautious or if they were legitimate. Well, the Lord is good and is watching over me! Thank you, Jesus!
When I texted him and told him that I saw his ring, he never texted back. Go figure! LOL
Second, another gentleman I was communicating with had a very nice pic and profile. His profile was very articulate. However, after texting with him I realized that he was not articulate at all, and that his texts bordering on being somewhat illiterate. Right away I realized someone else must have written his profile or maybe he copied someone's profile to be his own.
***This website is NOT for the person who is looking for a truthful relationship or for a website that truly vets the profiles, before putting them online! And, they charge you if someone wants to communicate with you and you want to communicate back! If they are going to charge you, what are they using those profits for if not for properly vetting the online profiles!? Not the website for me!
*I prefer not to upload the picture of the person with the wedding ring, although I would like to expose their identity, because I don't want any repercussions!
Been on Christian Mingle 4 months - every profile is either fake or a scam artist trying to steal your personal information. And there is rarely anyone in the city you live in - you are contacted by people hundreds of miles away. Many of the messages are written with multiple spelling errors and grammatically incorrect - clearly written by uneducated frauds. It's absurd.
I went on this site in 2014 at the strong suggestion of my counselor. It was nice--met a few nice ladies, had a few dates, one relationship or two, and made friends as well.
Ehem--then I returned in 2020. It was overrun by scammers--I'd stopped looking for love and ran out my subscription by reporting fake profiles, as many as 30 a day. I lost count. Then after a month, customer service told me my account had been hacked and I'd been locked out--and how? I have no idea--but when I called customer service about it they told me and then a dude with a strong Middle Eastern accent told me if I paid Christian Mingle $200, they'd fix my account. So let me get this straight--a useless site with no vetting hacks my account which hasn't given me any value at all, and they want me to pay them an additional $200 to fix it so I can spend more time on their useless site?
Nope--I hadn't met anyone on that site since 2015, so I politely told them no, lost a month or so of my subscription but was fed up. What happened to this site?
After 5 years of widowhood, I am ready to share my life with someone. I thought Christian Mingle would be a site where I would meet men who shared my faith and would like to explore a relationship with me. Most of the responses I got turned out to be scammers and I have met no one in person. The matches from the site don't come close to meeting my preferences or I am "matched" to a man who wants a much younger woman. I had more success on a secular site but without a shared faith that isn't going to work for me. This was a hard and costly lesson. I will not be renewing my subscription. Here's is my advice: if you want to meet someone who shares your faith - trust God and go where He is honored - CHURCH.
Christian mingle is trash.i set up a profile 5 days ago and have got emails of smiles, matches, and messages sent to me all of which are not on my profile.i can't respond can't read them and who knows if people are getting my messages.this is the worst purchase I've ever made.ive requested they refund my money and take down my profile and I doubt they are going to do that.so they stole my money and are providing non of the services I paid for.thats your hustle huh taking advantage of christians?wish I would have done my homework and read these reviews before purchase.lesson learnt.
Here is the description of myself that was rejected, why, I have no clue as I'm not saying anything wrong or bad "Gary just gave in to temptation and decided to try this for one month to start. He moved west from Montreal in 1982 where he attended Evangel Pentecostal. In Vancouver, Gary was going to Glad Tidings Temple on Fraser St. Pastor at the time was Kirk Duncan. Today he lives alone in his own Condo in Abbotsford BC and has a car. He says he's getting a lot of likes, etc. but none of them are anywhere close to being local. Being local means anywhere in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver and as far out as Whistler, Seattle, and Portland.
I only paid for one month to start. I really want to see if I can find myself a GF to start and then we can talk about something more. I'm tired of being alone and going on road trips by myself. He's retired now so has lots of time on his hands, was working in the Downtown East Side for the City of Vancouver in one of its Social Housing complexes."
I turned in five fake profiles the first 24 hours of use and then a day later my profile was taken down on suspicion of fraud. No reasons given for why I was suspected of fraud. When I complained they came back and said I could rejoin. No thank-you. Stay away from this site. Way too many scammers.
After paying for a membership, I realized that the site is worthless. I see only the same handful of men all the time, the site is hard to maneuver, getting your money back is impossible, and there is no real "help" available. Definitely NOT WORTH IT!
The person who owns the site is definately not a Christian probably an atheist because they are taking money from good people. I was on thus site 3 days and on the 1st day 2 woman from USA sent me a smile which immediately i thought odd as I live in the UK and put on my profile that I only wanted to be contacted by UK matches. However as a test I tried reply to the 2 woman from the USA and then was asked to subscribe to a paid membership, which by then the alarm bells had come on! And of the UK profiles they are the same photos coming up daily and none of them are ever online and most have not been online for weeks and even months! And lastly today they had a photo of a woman from the USA and she was the profile of the day.Well that was the final straw because honestly if you seen the photo it was definitely not real and looked like a mannequin with a pile of make up on lol! Luckily I'm not that stupid to sign up so BE WARNED good Christian people, I am telling you this because I am a Christian and so whoever owns this site might be scamming loads of money out of the public but they won't have any luck with it, God is not sleeping!
Answer: I had the same experience! Technically it's the worst site with worthless customer service. I discovered a great platform for meeting Christian ladies https://j4l.com/402007 It's flawless - it's working perfectly technically, their girls are simply too gorgeous for words, both inside and out! I enjoy greatly the company of the women I met there and soon I will meet one of them in person.
Answer: I thought they were a legit website unfortunately they are ripped off!
Answer: I just hit unsubscribe and you really have no choice but to let the time you paid for run out. After I unsubscribed, they sent me an email that I did and I also made sure to remove the credit card they had on file. I only took one month.
