My recent order was aimed at taking comfortable, coordinated underwear away on holiday.
However, when it arrived, one pair of briefs (never worn) were clearly faulty - the side seam had come apart. (photo attached) I requested a replacement pair of briefs - as soon as possible!
Damart arranged free collection of the faulty items... and I've heard nothing since. On contacting their Customer Service, ( at 13 pence+ per minute) they explained that this can take 3 weeks. I'll have returned from my holiday by then! I'm still awaiting either a refund or replacement.
11 August: I received a refund for the briefs. But I had requested a replacement on my return form - What use is the bra without the matching briefs? (I had to pay £3.99 delivery for my original order.) It was clearly cheaper for Damart to give me a refund, rather than provide the replacement (where they would also have to pay for postage.) I will contact them and ask for the replacement instead of the refund on Monday.
Goods apparently sent by hermes couriers, i tracked the delivery which said was delivered and put through letterbox, this did not happen, hermes no help passed the buck to damart with just asked fir me to reorder, seems my order entered a black hole! No one can tell me what happened.
I bought a couple of thermal vests from them a few years ago. They're not particularly warm but the worst thing is the elastic in the cuffs! They constantly ride up because of it, leaving your wrists cold and so you feel cold all over!
A company that charges you for postage as well as to return items that don't fit/ match to description etc. A customer service that you cannot contact via phone ( or as I see one poor soul got extortionate bill for).
There are so many better companies out there that sell the same clothes. I will close my account and will not support them.
A customer service who refuse to cancel an order meaning I have to pay for postage only to pay again to return the item. That is not a service by any means.
After having to call them as there internet site would not do as expected we then go ans incur a £7 phone bill with 2 calls. What a disgrace having to make more money from there customers using a premium rate number.
I for one will not use them again after also spending over £300 on there catalog.
The sizes for Damart clothing and shoes are always too small. The last time I ordered from this company I ordered three items which were all far too small to add insult to injury I had to pay for delivery and return postage for these items which came to nearly £8.00. Never again! I complained by email to Customers Services but they obviously have no shame and I didn't get anywhere!
Best advice... STAY AWAY from this company as they don't deserve your custom. J A O'Neill.
A very poor service made 2 orders never received full order promised a free gift got a gift voucher for £8 to spend with them free gift should have been worth £25 quality of goods average at best poor for the price recommend you avoid
Having returned two items I have now been waiting close to 3 weeks for the money to be refunded. I have been told that it has been credited to my account and that it would take up to 48 hours to appear in my account however more than 72 hours later it has not yet appeared. No real help from Customer services
Damart does very nice clothes but sizes tend to be small so it's a hit and miss to get the right size. So you then meet the problem. Hermes. Hermes return service is a nightmare. When things go wrong you can't contact anyone it problem solving is to contact client ie Damart who then say you need to contact Hermes. This problem is enough to put me off buying from Damart again.
Ordered 2 pairs trousers on 5th August, got a confirmation email, then nothing, I rung them on 23rd August was told she cant help me ring back next week. Rediculous can't get my order or a refund il never order from them again. Total waste if time. And hassle trying to sort it... Don't bother go somewhere else youl get a better service
Answer: The fun is filling up the contact email. You get timed out if you don't do it fast enough great when you are angry in the first place.
