Exoticca

Peru is a very beautiful country. The history and culture were fascinating. The guides were very informative and open to any questions. The transportation between sites was excellent. We were very pleased with this trip.

Exotica was very good until I paid for the trip. After that there were extremely long wait times to reach someone. The hotel was horrible and even though it advertised it would pick you up we were charged over $200.00 for transportation each way for the trip to the hotel and $200.00 again to the airport. That was an unexpected expense plus looking at the Exotica information we could have had that arranged for a fee through Exotica and I was told no I couldn't add that service.

We were blown away by Exoticca's planning and details! The drivers and guides were on time and knowledgeable. The hotels and travel details were all taken care of and communicated well to us. We appreciated how thoughtful the excursions and activities were; they helped us truly understand the depth and breadth of the culture. We also were pleased that none of the activities felt exploitative to the local culture. This was our first Exoticca experience and we world definitely recommend this trip and the company as a whole.

Our Portugal trip with Exoticca was amazing, every detail was covered. We didn't have to do anything but show up. The guide Diogo was incredibly informative and went above and beyond to keep our trip enjoyable. I loved Portugal, what a beautiful country.

Ecuador is fortunate to have a variety of weather and locations. Our favorite part was visiting the Galapagos, which was an amazing experience for everyone. I will always cherish the memories of swimming with seals, turtles, rays, and sharks.

Although it was a good trip, there was lots of driving. We clocked in about 2,000 km! The bus was comfortable, the driver was excellent and the guide was good.
The hotels were hit or miss with different levels of comfort and limited choices of breakfast items (We planned to upgrade the accommodation part on our next trip.) Be prepared for long stops at stores/factories for demonstration of carpet, leather, pottery, teas/herbs/candies. In all, it was a good trip if you wanted to see many historical sites and buy local products.

Accommodations were good and included food was local and excellent. It was good that we had some free time in Quito and San Cristobal and were able to organize excursions that matched our activity desires. We made all our connections with our flights but one of the connections was tight (we carried on our luggage). Overall a great father/son adventure trip!

Exottica is great but maybe they need to reconsider their choices of hotels. The first two were decent the last hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. No lights and when mentioned, it was not taken care of. TV did not work and they never fixed the issue even though it was mentioned several times. Dirty bathrooms outside the room.

Wonderful trip to the Galapagos. Guides were excellent and informative which enhanced the whole experience. Just enough tours and free time so you didn't feel continually rushing from place to place.
Only downside were flights. Airlines were very basic and didn't even provide free coffee or tea. Seats were narrow and crammed, even on long distance flights.
