Excellent Products, Excellent Customer Service

It's ironic that on the heels of writting a very negative review of a very deceptive online automotive headlight bulb retailer, Headlight "Experts," I find myself writing a very positive review of an other headlight bulb retailer, F150LEDS.COM.

Back in June 2020 I purchased a new Ford F150. I guess I had been spoiled by the HID's I had in the Hummer I sold because I hated the yellowish, weak light the stock Halogens were producing. After finding and viewing several videos from F150LEDS.com, I decided to give them a try, and the bulbs were/are excellent. Their claim that these bulbs are designed specifically for the F150 would be hard to contradict given their perfect fit and excellent beam pattern, right out of the box. Mine did not require any adjustment whatsoever, and they really light up the night, without blinding oncoming traffic.

Along with the headlights I also ordered a set of fog lights, which, like the headlights, fit perfectly with the correct beam pattern. Fast forward to last week, 9/7/22, that's when I noticed my drivers side fog light was no longer working. The next day I removed the bulb and its harness, installed the stock bulb, and it worked just fine, so obviously the problem lay in the bulb or it's harness and not with my truck.

Upon checking their website I was dissapointed to discover there was only a one year warranty on the bulbs and it had been over two years since I installed them. If my truck had tens of thousands of miles on it with a lot of night driving, I probably would have just ordered a replacement and be done with it. But my truck only has 6470 miles on it right now, and I would bet 80% of that is daytime driving. Good LEDs, which these are, are not cheap, and should last many thousands of hours. So, even though my warranty had expired, it was obvious there had to be a defect, either in the bulb or its harness. At the same time I was having, shall we say, a less then pleasant experience with that other LED retailer over, strangely enough, fog lights, for a different car that didn't come close to fitting, so I wasn't too hopeful of getting anywhere here. But I sent them an email anyway and pled my case. To my great surprise, within a few hours, they responded back informing me they would take care of it for me, and they wasted no time in doing so. I received the new bulb yesterday, 9/12/22. I fully expected to be asked to return the old bulb, and would have been glad to do it, but when I mentioned sending it back to them they told me it was not necessary.

When a company treats you poorly it's very easy to remember to write a review, and it's important to do so. However it's equally, if not more important to remember to write the good reviews also, and help good companies stay in business.
