Lexia is king of yap
October 10, 2025

When you do lexia and get even 2 questions wrong it gives you a whole useless lecture that says the same thing over and over again. Don't use it it's to repetitive.

Listen I'm a student. No kid should have to through this insanity. Like, the voice sounds like an annoying alexa, It's so slow, and you can't do anything until it's done talking. Also It's really cheesy and I feel like I makes me not want to learn. I'm a Proficlic reader, but My teacher makes me do this for 40 mins a week. Aint nobody got time for that. Besides It costs alot of money. Like 175$ This is what their doing with our tax dollars. Just read this please and read other reveiws. I reccomend Common sense media for some Creditable, great reviews. Besiddes, they have this "Literacy warm up" thing. Like why. It's for kids with dyslexia, but the teachers did'nt get the memo and Are tortuing us mentally. It's supposed to be this (I'm getting this from the lexia website) "Core5 supports student agency and growth mindset, giving students a choice over their path and pace through the program, along with awareness and ownership of performance and progress. The program provides an environment of encouragement with an understanding that learning is ongoing and provides students a safe place to try, fail, and retry." Yeah righ buddy. If you don't belive me, like I said, go to common sense media and go to the reveiws for lexia core5. This is coming for an inncoent victim of their tyranical rule over online learning. Bye (Remeber to check out Common sense media for more reveiws)

Lexia, the popular reading program used in many schools, is supposed to help students improve their literacy skills. However, for many users, it feels more like a chore than a helpful tool. One of the biggest complaints is the constant yapping from the AI voice that narrates the lessons. This robotic voice repeats instructions over and over, making it hard to focus. Instead of feeling guided, students often feel irritated, as if they're being talked down to by a machine that doesn't understand how annoying it sounds.

Another major issue with Lexia is how long and drawn out the lessons are. What could be simple reading exercises end up taking forever because of unnecessary explanations and repetitive tasks. The program seems to stretch out activities to fill time, making students feel like they're stuck in a never-ending cycle. This not only wastes time but also drains motivation. Many students find themselves counting down the minutes until they can finally log off.

The annoying factor of Lexia doesn't stop at the voice or the length—it's also in the way the program is structured. The activities often feel repetitive and dull, with little variation to keep students engaged. Instead of making reading fun or interesting, Lexia feels more like a punishment. It lacks the interactive and creative elements that could make learning enjoyable, leaving students bored and frustrated.

Then there are the mid videos Lexia throws in, which are supposed to break up the lessons and provide some variety. However, these videos are usually low-quality, overly simplistic, and don't add much value. They feel like filler content designed to pad out the program rather than actually teach anything new. Instead of being helpful or entertaining, the videos just add to the overall frustration with the platform.

In conclusion, Lexia might have good intentions, but it falls flat in execution. The yapping AI voice, long and repetitive lessons, annoying structure, and mid videos all combine to create an experience that most students dread. Instead of fostering a love for reading, Lexia often does the opposite, making students associate literacy with boredom and irritation. It's clear that the program needs to leave and get the *#$%^#@*$&#@^$*& out.

THIS IS CRAP...
December 20, 2024

So I am having to constantly deal with Lexia because it repeats itself in the most annoying AI voice ever. I would rather listen to an annoying teacher for 4 -year -olds speak to me than Lexia. When I make 2 mistakes,It sends me to a practice level then, If I make 1 extra mistake, it sends me to the practice level after the practice level and I absolutely hate that. Lexia is just sucks so much If you are the CEO of lexiacore5 I HATE YOU! 0 stars.

Please Do NOT Buy
December 18, 2024

Lexia is an utterly boring resource. It has terrible vocabulary, teaches me things I already know, and is a waste of time. My teacher requires us to do 35 minutes of Lexia. In this 35 minutes, you can barely get 3 lessons done. Lexia is always talking, whenever it talks my head hurts. Sometimes I think, did my school even read the Lexia reviews before they tortured all of us with Lexia. Lexia should be a punishment not a requirement. Lexia is also pointless. If you get one thing wrong, it takes you to this stupid mini lesson that isn't even about what you missed one time I made a typo, and it took me on a 15 minute lecture on the wrong thing. In conclusion, don't buy this tool to torture kids.

As a 4th Grader, Do I even have to say this? Lexia is just BAD, not good AT ALL, This is supposed to be "fun". But come on we all know that's a lie, You also have to listen to a REALLY ANNOYING VOICE that haunts me in my nightmares now, Also if you get ONE question wrong, you will get a yap session, if you get it wrong AGAIN, Guess what? Another Yap Session, I had to deal with Lexia for 4 years. Also the teachers like it. Like Zearn is better tbh. (sorry for the essay)

Lexia is infuriating!
November 1, 2024

The problem with lexia is that ITS TO GOD DANG INFURIATING! Wanna know why? ITS BECAUSE IT ALWAYS REPEATS THE SAME $#*!ING QUESTIONS AND IF WE GET 2 QUESTIONS WRONG, THE AI TALKS FOR WHAT FEELS LIKE 30 MINUTES AND THEN BRINGS US TO A COMPLETELY UNRELATED QUIZ! I WANT LEXIA GONE FROM THE INTERNET AND I BET EVERYONE CAN AGREE. LEXIA DOSENT DESERVE TO BE IN SCHOOLS BECAUSE IT DOSE NOT HELP WITH LEARNING AND IT JUST BRINGS DOWN OUR SELF-ESTEENE AND MAKES US FEEL LIKE AND IDIOT. BECAUSE OF LEXIA MY GRADE WENT DOWN TO 52%! I HATE YOU LEXIA! AND DONT EVENN GET ME STARTED WITH THE VIDEOS. THE RATINGS ARE NOT RIGHT. GRAMMER HAS TO BE THE WORST IN MY OPINION. $#*! YOU LEXIA! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
-a very angry 9th grader
P.S: I would not recomend lexia to anyone because it is stupid and infuriating.

Ok so I was introduced to LEXIA This year my teacher tells me to do it to earn a pizza party. I go on the website at first it does not seem bad at the beginning but don't let that fool you as the more you get into it, the more ANGRY you get. I have anger issues so its even MORE annoying. The recommend time is 40 minutes a week by my teachers, witch is nice compared to the website itself witch expects you to do 80 MINUTES A WEEK. I have to listen to an annoying voice, I know what i'm doing and it tells me i'm wrong like bro, SHUT UP. And on top of that i get ONE question wrong i get put on the practice level or something. It be like LISTEN TO THE VOWEL THAT COMES AFTER THE SYLLABLE AND TRY AGAIN. In an VERY annoying voice. Its worse than Imagine math.MY ADVICE: DONT GET LEXIA OR JUST DONT EVEN GET ON, GETTING ON WILL ONLY MAKE YOU VERY ANGRY.IF I COULD I WOULD RATE IT ZERO STARS AND THE ONLY REASON I KEEPMDOING IT IS BECAUSE I FEEL BAD FOR NO REASON

I hope lexia ceo and his/her family die sooner the better. Lexia core 5 is very bad and now it lets you do this flipping test after you worked so hard on grinding lexia. Lexia should die sooner. It is just made to torture kids. First of all, lexia just has this stupid lady voice and just annoying. It gives kids deppression. 80% of suicides committed by minors(children and teenagers below the age of 18) is because of lexia. Second, lexia is also very not helpful. It is confusing and does not tell you what you did wrong in descriptive language. It leaves kids frustrated and gives them mental problems over time. Even ixl is better at teaching kids what they did wrong. In addition, lexia is just torture. IT IS THE WORST TORTURE METHOD OF ALL TIME. And it is used on KIDS. Lexia is very cruel and should be on death row.

Consumer suggestion
Do not buy. It is just paying to kill your kids

My classmates and I hate this app. We all have been doing it for a long time, and I think I have gone mentally insane because of this! This is what I am talking about: So when you are answering some questions, and you got just ONE wrong, the stupid app talks to you for a whole 5 minutes with it's annoying voice. And the worst thing is, when you haven't finished answering the questions and then you log off and the next day you log back in, the whole things restarts again! TBH, I don't think this is worth buying.
