I have bought five mice from them, finally tired of the grips failing after a year, and dropping 120$ on a mouse that I hoped would be better... The feet started to run away again, the glue just disappointing. Steel series customer support made sure I knew they pronouns, but can't give me 15$ worth of grips even though I have 5 of their products. The tech support closed my ticket and they think I'm done writing bad reviews. They are $#*!ing dreaming because I have nothing better to do today.

Very bad product and not worth the money
Very bad product and cheaply made. Bought two Steelseries Pro gaming headset and both sets broke at the exact same spot on both sides where the headphones attach and now are both useless. Contacted customer service and they are not willing to do anything about it. Please stay away from this company and their cheap products.
I purchased their Nova 7X headset from Amazon six months ago, and then, a couple of weeks ago, the microphone stopped working. When I contacted them to file a warranty claim, they requested that I destroy my headset first. I did so and sent them photos and videos showing the item and the serial number, and yet, THEY DENIED MY CLAIM. They could have asked me to ship my faulty headset to them instead, but because they wanted to "Cut down on time spent having the unit shipped in and processed," they came up with this bizarre way of doing things.
Received a mouse as a Christmas gift. During its initial update/installation, the mouse froze and the update never finished. Since that moment, the mouse never worked (worked for maybe 8-10 seconds in total). Contacted support with STILL an open claim with them. It has been in excess of 22 days and no resolution in sight. I have installed/uninstalled their program a dozen times or more, tried multiple resets, sent them all of my computer stats and software versions as asked. The last reply I get is asking me if I having a problem with the mouse too!?! The problem was always the mouse!
Dont take it for my word though, See screenshots of the entire CS interaction attached.
Purchased my headset from a local Best Buy. Two days later I had some issues.
I reached out to support through their bot and had a pretty quick experience!
I'm confused with some of the reviews below, because my experience was actually simple.
The support agent had some personality. Outside of 1 response that over 1 day, I was helped super quick.
Their warranty instructions are LONG, but clear. I don't think enough to take a star away. I'd say this was a 4.5 experience.
I've already received my replacement and they work great!
Thank you SteelSeries! (Next time I'll buy from the site, sorry!)
I bought the Apex 5 keyboard and after 5 months it started breaking down and their customer service was so bad. I do not recommend this company anymore although all of my products are steelseries. Moving to another company.
I've purchased a few headsets from SteelSeries. All have broken in less than a year. All of them are a pain to get help from customer service or online. I bought the nova 7x specifically because it connects to Xbox. When I bought a new Xbox because my old one stopped working my headset won't connect to the new system and there is 0 help online for an issue like this even though other people have had the same issue.
Tried to contact them over a problem,,, they don't ever get back, selling what is supposed to be great products that turn out to be terrible and then ignoring the person, like they never existed. Never again!
Since I upgraded to the latest version of this software, the GG one, it was a pain to install it, had to manually sort it due to incompatibilities with the previous version, now that I have it installed, it simply does not detect the games, no matter what setting on it. It just became useless, apart setting the LED patterns on your keyboard. That's the only thing it can do now with it.
Support is probably handled by chatgpt - I write about an issue, and I get a cookie-cutter response unrelated to the topic. I'm guessing "Cat Lady" is just a bot powered by some pseudo-AI, as it's impossible for a human being to have such a low level of reading comprehension. The mouse broke after 2 months: after 5 emails with their CS I was still where I was before contacting them. Downright terrible. I always liked their products, but for such a lousy attitude towards customers from today onward I'm switching to Logitech and Razer, and I will never buy a SteelSeries product again.
