Strings and Beyond

I buy mandolin picks here, no one sells them in canada, they regularly have free shipping to canada events and also carry strings at 5$ a set. Never had any issues ive placed 5 orders with them so far.

Usually the best prices, best selection, excellent customer support and prompt shipping.

Occasionally you will find an item at a lower price on another site, much less often an item available on another site that is not on Strings and Beyond, but over all you simply cannot go wrong. They were willing to add an item to an order and still bill it to PayPal, which other merchants said was impossible. They sometimes offer free shipping without a minimum order, which is very nice.

My only quibble is that they have limited customer service hours (business hours weekdays), but the service is friendly and knowledgeable.

You can get strings, picks, etc. at dozens of places both locally and online, so why Strings and Beyond? My answer is that, beyond their great selection and good prices, it's like going back in time 50 years and dealing with the friendliest, most helpful neighborhood store you can remember -- or imagine, if you weren't around back then.

Every order I've placed with Strings and Beyond has come with a handwritten thank-you on the receipt. I had a 20-minute online exchange with a very knowledgeable support person when I was looking for the perfect thumbpick for my playing style.

It's not World Peace, but I would be a very happy man if every company I dealt with was like Strings and Beyond. They are a rare find.

I ordered an 8-pack of Elixir Strings and received counterfeit strings. I sent photos to Strings & Beyond and they agree the strings are counterfeit, but insist they did not sell them to me (I know this is not true). They refuse the exchange the strings or make good for this order. I cannot believe they expect me to take a $100 loss since they are the ones to blame for letting counterfeits into their inventory line.
