Since Yahoo once again completely changed their portfolio page and made it un-usable, I decided to track my stocks and retirement funds elsewhere. I chose Barchart after checking it out before creating a log in.
So far, it's worked great for the simple tracking I need to do and there are much more information sections available. Fairly easy and clear website to use and changes can be made quickly.
I havent used them since about a year ago, since then I switched to tradestation because i liked their mobile app better. However, there was not much else different for me, as an active trader, they are very good. One thing, back when i used them i did not get as good as volume discounts on my trading like tradestation. But that could be diff now. So all in all, they are prob the top 2 platforms. Thanks
Used to love the Thinkorswim platform. The platform itself has great tools, but after they went free commissions in 2020 the things that are most important to me started to going downhill. The application is MUCH slower, I experience more issues with the submitting orders, buying, selling, etc, and customer service response time is delayed. I will be switching soon.
This is the coolest stock trading software around. If you like option trading and you don't want to lose your shirt or you just want to test some butterfly strategies, you can use their Paper Money function. Also, the Level II search for exchange prices insures that you get the best pricing possible. I've never had problems filling a trade on TOS.
I will go to tradingview much easier and better tos app seems like I was losing money even with puts as the market drop beware
If I were ever going to change this would be the provider I would choose. Too much hassle and with Vector Vest I can justify staying where I am.
