I`m now owning a few watches from them and before my father was always using watches made by Casio. None of them ever caused any trouble to us - they serve for years and the only thing that goes worse is the watch case itself, all the inner mechanisms work perfect!
I ordered in February and didn't receive my product until March and disappointed that I received a plastic watch for $132.00! The worst! I would have purchased a better, Nicer watch! I could have ordered from Walmart and had less trouble. It took them a month to send me my product and when received it, I was disappointed. It's not easy to set up or comprehend the setup. Didn't come already set so you have to continue to push the extremely small & hard buttons on the watch and it still doesn't set or do what you intended to do. The image on the watch looks cheap and not like advertised.
I own a PRG-270 pro-trek and two G-Shocks so far and these have been serving me for years causing absolutely no problems at all. Really reliable and long-lasting watches, that can withstand all the sport activities, even the most rough situations, I checked that myself!
Casio G-Shock was my first watch that my parents gave me on my birthday. And still this watch brand is my favorite. Such a class watches for everybody.
Short version... After almost a decade of being a g-shock customer I'm switching over to Garmin.
The simple reason for this is that the cost of replacement parts have become outrageously expensive. Casio also no longer sells parts directly to the public. Instead you need to send your watch to a repair center to further get financially reamed post purchase. I considered purchasing the G-squad solar, but after considering the cost of parts, specifically the bands and bezel of which the cost cost of parts equates to roughly between 15 and 20% of the purchase price of the watch, I just had enough of being violated without the curtesy of lube. My first g-shock had a new bands and bezel replacement price tag of 40% on the purchase price of the watch. Seriously! I though I bought in my opinion an exceptional piece of tech, not ridiculously expensive plastic. It seems casio has embarked on a mission to make the acquisition of parts for either repair or customization so intensely unbearable that long time customers would rather fork out more money and part with watches that there is nothing wrong with than suffer the indignity of begging for parts for the expensive options or simply sell off the old crap and move on to competitors that will sell you parts for a fraction of the original cost with, what seems to be, an endless supply of parts and boundless array of options. Surely casio would be able to sell more watches if whomever is in charge of strategy didn't have head up own sphincter. Sure, Ferrari doesn't sell parts to backyard mechanics, but then again a casio isn't a Rolex...
My favorite watch brand of all time! Look forward to what they will offer to the watch enthusiasts in the future.
A very very good work done by casio, almost 100 percent of their electronics are superb, a very well done
