Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. First, we placed an order for two dresses and didn't receive a confirmation. We asked if they received it, because we were on a timeline for family photos, but were completely ghosted by their customer service. Then we placed a second order, just to be safe. The first order did arrive, then the second, and two of the four dresses we received had damage, one of them had the skirt (high in the front, low in the back) sewn on completely sideways, so that it was at a diagonal. Now we go to return them and their policy won't allow us to get our money back because damage must be reported in ten days, which is not included on the receipts, but is stated in one line at the bottom of the receipt. The receipt made it seem like we had 21 days.

I've ordered from Ivy City before, but unfortunately I won't be purchasing any of their products again.
I ordered the same exact dress that I've ordered before, expecting to receive the same product.
Right from the box the quality of the fabric was noticably lower, and the print was sloppy in places. It didn't even have the skirt lining. Next to the first one I bought, it looks like a cheap knockoff. It was marked final sale, so I feel they purposely sent a defective product they knew I wouldn't be able to return. Even at the sale price, the quality is low.
This, combined with how nasty their social media has gotten, have really turned me off from the brand.
UPDATE: They emailed me to say they will not be posting my review on their site because it is negative. This makes me doubt the ratio of good/bad reviews on all their other products, as they're weeding out ones they don't like. Just dishonest all around.

They pick and choose which reviews get added to the site. They reached out to me after the review, but never actually posted it. Seems dishonest. Businesses shouldn't pick and choose what reviews get posted. I was direct not rude or abusive and explained that the dress wasn't measured properly.

I recently ordered some loungewear from Ivycityco. They have beautiful dresses and outfits for children and babies. They have matching Mom and child/ babies outfits. There are many dresses to choose from and some loungewear as well. After I ordered, I received a very nice email thanking me or ordering from them. They offer a 10% discount for new customers.

Sizes are not uniform ie their mediums are not a true medium. Typically, I would have to size up. I've ordered from them a couple of times, usually it's been okay. However, this time I had to deal with their customer service and I find their tone very fake cheerful but not actually helpful. I wanted to get my dress within a week and a half and they recommended me to pay for expedited shipping. Free shipping over $250 did not apply to expedited shipping, nor did they at least let me use the free shipping value towards paying for expedited shipping. Once I received the dresses, all the same size, one of the styles did not fit whatsoever, as in I couldn't even zip it up at all. The size discrepancy is very disappointing, and as they were final sale, they would not budge whatsoever on an exchange. I also submitted a review but it hasn't been posted yet, I wonder if they don't actually post their negative reviews. All in all, their dresses are cute, but quality and service do not make up for the high prices.

When I found this website, I thought it was almost too good to be true, the designs were original, and gorgeous but the prices were a bit steep. Still, I had a really special event to attend so I took the plunge and got three dresses that could potentially work. I thought to myself, "Hey if one doesn't work then surely the other two would"...well, how dead wrong did I turn out to be. First off, I would like to say that I don't like leaving crappy reviews, I usually leave good ones, because I know how much these kinds of reviews help out small family owned businesses. But in this particular case, I am actually going to go out of my way to write a review, that will not be pretty.
So I got the dresses, I did the 2 day business day shipping and it took 3, which ok, I ordered it on a Wednesday and it didn't come until next Monday, but whatever, it got here a couple of days before the event. I got the bag, super excited and I opened it up. One of the bags was already ripped which isn't the greatest sign but, I get it things happen during shipping.
First impressions. The dresses are pretty, to be sure, but I have never been a fan of cheap polyester which is what two of the dresses were made out of. Well I tried the first one on hoping that it would look great and besides fabric isn't everything. Well first off I couldn't get the dress over my hips for fear that it would break, I don't have huge hips, their like 38 round, but the dress wouldn't go over them without causing some damage. So I had to struggle with it over my head. The thing barely fit, and when I tried to zip it up... nope, wasn't going to happen. Let me tell you the disappointment of that moment was real. So I struggled to get that thing off and try on the next one. The disappointment again, was pretty poignant, it wouldn't zip up, was way too tight through the shoulders the sleeves were short...I suppose I should mention that I am a size Small to X-Small in US sizing, so maybe they just need to fix their sizing or something. Anyways, the disappointment I felt from this purchase was enough to make me pretty unhappy. I had an event coming up in less than a day with no time to find a replacement dress, so yeah, not too keen on purchasing from this company again. I couldn't even return one of the dresses.
I would also like to mention that with those darn price tags they really should be able to gauge appropriate sizing, but they didn't. Such a huge disappointment.
Basically moral of the story is, if you're thinking of purchasing from this company, be sure to go at least one size up. Also, be sure to not get as much bang for your buck, no way these dresses should cost that much and look that way.
