I have used Alpharooms many times over recent years however my trip in Dec. 2020 will be the last time. Accommodation and transfers were booked with Alpharooms and unfortunately the airline changed the flight day. We contacted Alpharooms to request a change of hotel to airport transfer which they agreed they would arrange however they failed to do this so no transfer turned up. We contacted customer service and were told to take a taxi at our expense (1 hour taxi journey) and claim it back on our arrival in the UK. Several emails and a letter have failed to bring a response or the refund. Don't waste your money booking with this company as they will not refund if there is any problems.
Short summary: This company, Alpharooms should not be allowed to function! Extremely poor/actually, non existent customer service and after 14 months of chasing for a refund, numerous emails and calls still not refund. Next step is to contact my lawyer! DO NOT book your holiday with this company... it's only waste of time and headaches!
Site is easy enough to use and book a room. However, if something goes wrong with your booking, don't expect this company to get it sorted. My hotel closed due to coronavirus. The hotel stated they would be willing to give me accommodation at another of their hotel, all they required was Alpharooms to contact them so they could modify the booking. I have contacted Alpharooms customer service numerous times, after being kept on hold for 30-40 mins each time. My issue still isn't resolved. They weren't even aware that the hotel had closed. They just take your money, book the room then forget about you. Will never use again!

I booked a hotel with this company and when I got there they had no booking confirmation. I contacted alpha rooms and they said there was nothing g they could do. I had to pay again at reception. I have been a emailing alpha rooms constantly with little reply only to make excuses to get rid of me

Would not recommend. Could not give us original hotel so told us they had booked us into a hotel 10 minutes away when it actually turned out to be 1 hour away and would not offer any other alternative other than cancellation with no refund even though we had not got what we had paid for otherwise false adverising. We tried to speak with staff which was otherwise useless as they did not understand us which is not their fault but if you are running a customer service surely they should be able to speak English. They could not understand what we were saying therefore going around in circles. We then changed our transfer times as the airport told us there was delays. We rang alpha rooms to change our transfer time to an earlier time which they confirmed that they had done. Only for us on the day to be sitting waiting/ running late an hour. A joke of a company to be dealing with and I will never be using again. Shambles of a website. Stick to booking.com or hotels.com
I booked 6 nights in Portugal in February 2020 for July 2020. I paid this holiday in 3 instalments on my credit card. Towards the end of June 2020 when my flights were cancelled by Easyjet I told Alpharooms several times I needed to cancel. Every message I sent was misunderstood or the response did not match the e mail I sent. I even considered cancelling my credit card so they could not take the final payment. 2 days before I was due to arrive in the resort they called me to ask if I was coming on holiday... NO my flight was cancelled and FCO advice was not to travel... still waiting on them giving me a refund. Impossible to call as they never reply. So at the moment I have lost £932 for 6 nights accommodation I could not take up through no fault of my own
Have a holiday booked in Spain 13th September. Have phoned alpharooms 5 times, 2 hangups, one left to hold for half an hour, 2 persons. Who answered the phone did not have a clue that our hotel was closed. We have no idea what to do. Have paid the final balance which they took out on Monday, also Transfers and Flights.
I have called alpharooms twice now to request a rebooking of my hoilday till next year due to Corona virus. Both times the ladies said that someone would get back to me, and they didn't. I'm truly frustrated with this, and dissatisfied, the lady on the phone talked over me and did not listen to a word I had to say, just wanted to stay on script and get me off the line. I was on hold for a period of time ( which is understandable, but what horrible music). No one has yet to still get back to me in regards to my holiday.
I am devastated as I used Alpha rooms to book a holiday for my 40th wedding anniversary. I am due to travel in 4 days and they have cancelled my holiday by email which I found by accident as it went into my junk. I have paid a large sum of money and Alpha will not refund my money so I can go an celebrate my anniversary. The reviews are true they are a scam. How this type of company can be allowed to operate is unbelievable. People have come out of the terrible Covid situation and worked hard to save to go away and enjoy a little bit of pleasure. This terrible uncharitable company have removed that from me. I hope this review helps someone.
