I am so glad we stumbled onto this site! I was researching to buy a new bed, a California King. Prices for beds are not very budget or family friendly. My husband & I decided on the extra firm, he loves it but I needed a thin foam topper and it's great! We were so happy with our bed that we recently bought a mattress for our 15 yr. Old son, our camper, and a foam piece for my outdoor bench seat. Love it! So thankful for this company! Michelle, Montana customer =)

As noted above, I did not purchase from FoamByMail, but am very suspicious about many of these positive reviews. Just a heads up... When reading through the reviews, Sort them by Date, or Newest to Oldest. Notice the "irony" of how many 5-star ratings were amazingly written on the EXACT same date. Odd how foam customers JUST happened to buy and review on the exact same day. There are also strings of 5-star reviews that seem "consistently spaced" between review dates. I could very well be wrong,... but I am leery...

I purchased 1-1/2" super firm foam but I had several issues with my purchase:
1. It is not firm as shown in pictures.
2. It was cut without any care and it is not clean and smooth cut.
3.Foam overall feels like a cheap material, not lux in any way.
4.When I tried to return it, they told me that they will deduct their shipping cost from my refund. I was ok with paying return shipping but they will charge you for the original shipment as well when you return the item.

Our old and not real comfortable memory foam mattresses (6 years old) in our RV needed replaced. We looked at several custom size mattress firms and asked on our RV forum for recommendations. Foam By Mail (foamfactory.com) was suggested along with a few others. Checking reviews and websites, we contacted several. The lady at foamfactory.com was extremely helpful and sent us samples. We selected what we thought we wanted, placed the order for 2 layer mattresses (4" foam bottom, 3" memory foam top) plus covers. The order arrived within a few weeks. They fit perfectly and after our 2 week trip, we absolutely love them! Very comfortable, very easy getting to sleep and no morning aches and pains! Superb product!

First I started with the 2nd to firmest foam and it was like laying on the ground, and then I did the next less firm and it bottoms out completely when you lay on it with 0 support. I have no idea how they can pretend their descriptions match these products and when I called for help within the first sentence I said "I need help with an order" the lady had decided she wanted to get me off the phone. Adios $400 and I have no bed and have to take both of these to the dump.

I recently placed an order for a matress topper foam. The order arrived promptly and although they mistakenly sent the wrong size, Veronica in customer service was exremely helpful in helping me with a replacement. The only thing required of me was pictures with a measuring tape showing the size.
They gave the option of a 50% refund or sending me a replacement at no additional cost. Because of the great service and offer to keep the wrong sized foam, I am donating it to our local Salvation Army on behalf of Faomby mail.
I will definitely refer them to family and friends.

Horrible, horrible company with unacceptable customer service.

If only I had read all the angry reviews online BEFORE ordering from them... (Don't trust the 5-star reviews - apparently this company employs a practice of paying people to write flattering reviews.)

I bought two pieces of foam from them recently. Shipping was slow, and when I finally received the product, the thinner 1/4" foam sheet was damaged along the entire edge, and the thicker 1 1/2" piece was so hard and old, that a simple thumb pressure test remained in the foam without bouncing back.

A return and refund request was very poorly handled. Linda, the customer service rep, insisted on a 25% restocking fee and paid shipping by me - which would have cost $60, plus the $20 restocking fee - exceeding the total price I paid of $75.

No amount of negotiating or reasoning had any effect. I guess Foam by Mail doesn't value their customer happiness. Or their customers.
Avoid at all cost!

When we finally decided to replace our 6 cushions, I naturally searched our local stores and then the Internet. A clerk at a Jo-Ann fabrics center suggested researching Foam By Mail. I did and found exactly what I needed.
The order form was easy to fill out because you first choose the shape and density of the cushions. Next, you follow the onscreen directions for exact measuring of each one, plug in that information and that is it.
We were given an expected ship date of approximately 2 weeks. They came to us shrink wrapped on time and perfectly sized. Oh my, such a wonderful different they have made! Now, I need to order a long cushion for the media room sofa.
What can I say, we love our Dobermans. Even though they dig holes in the couches.

I will order again and again from this vendor. Not only do they have an easy-to-use website, great quality products, and competitive pricing, but their exceptional customer service has won me over. As a business owner myself, I value this so much. Joni went above and beyond to make my requested last-minute change to a custom-sized cushion. She was able to pull it off for me, and the cushion I received was perfect in size, professionally wrapped, and packaged well. We are extremely happy with this purchase and will be back in the future!

I will order from this company again. My couch is only 2 years old and still in excellent condition however the cushions we're already droopy and worn. Where I bought the couch would not do a thing for the cushions under the extra warranty I purchased. Luckily i found this company to special order a new foam piece to replace the bad one I had. It came as a perfect fit, it's super comfortable, put together very well (better than the original piece that came with our couch) and good pricing. I will now enjoy sitting in my spot on the couch again! I plan on ordering the other 2 pieces to make my couch even better! Delivery was fast and this company followed up with me to see how everything was shortly after receiving their product. Excellent excellent! Thank you

We have a couch that has gotten very saggy and my wife hated it. We had spent a fair amount of money on it but didn't realize that it was down stuffed. So it was also constantly stabbing us with feathers. I found foambymail by Google search and gave it a try. The custom cuts of foam wrapped in padding were easy to order. They fit perfectly and made the couch better than new. Highly recommend foambymail and will use again for myself.

I have a small home studio and needed to add some foam acoustic treatments to the walls. Not knowing if the foam would really help, I looked for a mid-priced solution as the price range for a set of foam materials can be between $40-$500. I chose Foam By Mail based on their pricing. I ordered 14 pieces in different sizes and thicknesses and can state that the material made some difference to the acoustics of the room. HOWEVER, the materials emits a nasty odor and it has been weeks since installed. The possible VOCs ( Volatile Organic Compounds) from the foam gives me a headache. I contacted the company and their suggestion was to leave a window open. Great. It's in the teens and even if it wasn't, you can't use a music studio with open windows. My recommendation, if you purchase from them, plan on leaving the material in your garage for a month or two to air out. That might help.
Update
I wrote the company again about my issue with the foam odor and they provided a partial refund so that I could take steps to mitigate the odor. I must say their customer service has been excellent in terms of quick response and resolution of issues.
